Hand Rejuvenation with Dermal Fillers

Published on: July 31, 2016

Even when we take care of our faces and bodies our hands can still show the signs of premature aging and appear much younger than you are. At the London Cosmetic Clinic we can make your
hands look youthful again with the use of high quality dermal fillers.

There are two main fillers that we use on the hands and they both have different effects. The first is Juvederm which is based on syntheticallycreated, biocompatible Hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic
acid is a compound that is naturally found in the skin and attracts water so, when used on the skin, it makes it more moisturised and regain its bounce. This can help improve the appearance of
crepey looking skin on the backs of the hands. The other dermal filler used is Radiesse, which contains tiny beads of calcium hydroxylapatite in a gel. This is injected as a ball and then massaged into

the grooves of your hands to provide a ‘scaffolding’ in boney, sinewy hands that have lost their fat padding. This also encourages the skin to produce more collagen so the condition of the skin is                                                 improved. The effects last up to 2 years.

Prior to your treatment we will numb the area to minimise any discomfort and afterwards you will not have to take any down time to recover but we do recommend that you keep the area clean
with plain water and avoid products like perfumed soap and hand cream to avoid irritation. You should also avoid vitamin E, arnica, St.John’s wort and aspirin and ibuprofen to avoid swelling. If
you would like younger looking hands and are considering Juvederm or Radiesse treatments, contact us today to book your free consultation.
