The skin around the eyes can be one of the most ageing areas of the face, and not just because of those pesky wrinkles. Dark circles and bags, sunken eyes and deep tear troughs can all contribute to making you look far older (and way more tired) than you actually are. But what can you do about it?
facial treatments
Dermal fillers can be used for a wide range of treatments from enhancing features to hiding signs of aging and one of the ways in which we use dermal fillers at our Knightsbridge based clinic is to erase wrinkles on foreheads.
People often associate anti-wrinkle injections with Botulinum toxin, which paralyses the nerve and therefore decreases movement, but if the wrinkle is still visible when you aren’t frowning, dermal fillers may be a more suitable solution. We use high quality, synthetically created hyaluronic acid in our dermal fillers as this is naturally found in the body and hydrates and plumps the skin. We first apply a numbing agent to minimise discomfort before injecting small amounts of the sterile gel and massaging into place.
As well as plumping out frown lines on the forehead, dermal fillers can also be used to minimise the appearance of indented scars by filling them out to the level of the rest of the skin.
Dermal fillers for frown lines are not permanent but last several months, after which the solution passes harmlessly through your system as it is broken down. As well as looking natural, the procedure doesn’t require any surgical equipment or procedures, you do not need any recovery time and you will still be able to show expressions as usual.
As with all of our treatments, you will have a free consultation and we will explain proper aftercare with you. To find out more about our dermal filler treatments or to book your free consultation, contact us today and speak to a member of our team.
