Our skin protects us from environmental risk, including the rays of the sun. However, UV light damaging your skin cells causing unwanted cellular change which could eventually lead to skin cancers.

Skin cancer has become the most common type of cancer. In the UK, more cases are diagnosed each year than breast, prostate, lung, and colon cancer put together. The lifetime risk of skin cancer is currently around 20%.

If you are or have been in the sun a lot, have a family history of skin cancer, or have a large, number of moles, or they are atypical, whether through family traits, or individually your risk of having skin cancers may be increased.
