Shaving, waxing, tweezing and hair removal creams have been replaced by hair removal in a flash! Hair removal treatment has become the norm rather than a luxury due to its safety and effectiveness resulting in healthy, smooth skin and outstanding hair reduction. With one session every 4-6 weeks, results will result in no more ingrown hairs, reduced shaving and nourished skin. This means that other painful means of hair removal can totally be avoided.
What is the pre-treatment advice?
It is important that you avoid the following within a 30-60days period prior to treatment.
- Do NOT sunbathe or use the sunbed
- Avoid all self-tanning products For 7days prior to the treatment
- Do NOT Have electrolysis or, Do NOT wax
- Do not bleach, Do Not use depilatory creams
- Do NOT use anti-inflammatory medication ( including Aspirin and ibuprofen)NOTE: Please refrain from smoking 4hours before treatmen
What shall I expect after the treatment?
After your treatment, there should be erythema (redness) and edema (swelling) of each hair follicle the treatment area, which may last up to 2 hours, or longer. The treated area will feel like a sunburn for a few hours after treatment.
Anywhere from 10-14 days after the treatment, shedding of the treated hair growth. You can clean and remove the hair by washing or wiping the area with a wet cloth or Loofa sponge.
There are no restrictions on bathing except to treat the skin gently, as if you had a sunburn, for the first 24 hours.
What should I do after the treatment?
Apply clinic prescribed topical soothing skin care products minimum 3 times per day for the first 3 days or until any redness has disappeared. This will ensure that the excess heat from the laser is drawn out from the skin.
Must use clinic prescribed physical sunblock (SPF30+) at all times throughout the course of treatment. Direct sun exposure to the treated area without SPF30+ protection will increase the risk of hyperpigmentation.
Ideally use clinic prescribed exfoliation wash. This will ensure that the hairs are encouraged to expel from the follicle allowing them to fall out without becoming ingrown.
After the axillar (underarms) are treated, you may wish to use a powder instead of a deodorant for 24 hours after the treatment to reduce skin irritation.
What I should not do after the treatment?
Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation (darker pigmentation) Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin.
Do not use any other hair removal treatment products or similar treatments (waxing, electrolysis or tweezing) that will disturb the hair follicle in the treatment area for 4-6 weeks after the laser treatment is performed. Shaving may be used.
No pools, spas or saunas, no exercise for at least 24 hours. Chlorine, bacteria can be found in these activities/ places, with the hair follicle being swollen for the removal treatment, this can irritate the skin.

Does it hurt?
The treatment sensation varies from area to area and from client to client. Most clients describe the sensation as quite moderate almost like the snapping of a rubber band accompanied by a heat sensation, which only lasts for a short moment
Do I need to take special precautions before and after treatments?
It is important not to remove hair by plucking, tweezing and waxing during the entire four weeks before and during treatments. This ensures that as many hair follicles as possible contain a hair and thus can be destroyed by the light. It is important to avoid tanning before and during the treatment period to avoid the tanned skin from absorbing more light, which makes treatment less effective. Generally, no post-treatment care is necessary, but people with very sensitive skin may benefit from using a soothing aloe vera gel together with a sunscreen (min SPF 30)
