Vitamin shots and IV drips for tired Londoners

Published on: January 22, 2021

London life can be hectic and draining. Being constantly on the go in a noisy and fast-paced environment can take its toll, even on those of us who take care of our general health and wellbeing. Tiredness can be an annoying and sometimes debilitating side-effect of working hard, burning the candle at both ends, or simply not getting enough fresh, clean air. At The London Cosmetic Clinic, in the heart of the West End and located in Harley Street, the central hub of cosmetic health and wellbeing, we offer a huge range of vitamin shots and IV drips, specifically tailored to help restore energy and vitality to tired and worn out Londoners.

What are vitamin shots?

Vitamin shots are injections of specially chosen substances that help boost immunity, protect the body, and keep us in tip-top condition. When vitamins are taken orally, the chances are that we will only absorb around 10% per ingestion as they are partially destroyed by the stomach and gastrointestinal tract. Vitamin shots are delivered into the bloodstream and are not harmed or compromised by stomach acids, so, they maximise the body’s absorption for a far superior level of performance and efficacy.

Vitamin shots for boosting energy

Glutathione is the guardian of the cell. It’s considered the master antioxidant in each cell and can increase energy levels in the body, detoxifies the liver, slows down the ageing process and improves skin condition. At The London Cosmetic Clinic, we offer Glutathione shots in 600mg, 1,200mg and 2400mg doses.

Vitamin B-12 (methylcarbylamine) is responsible for maintaining healthy red blood cells, keeping the nervous system healthy and releasing energy from food. If you are a vegetarian or vegan, it is quite likely that you may not be getting your recommended dose of B12, which can cause lethargy, anaemia, weakness and can also affect our memory and thinking. Our B12 shots will help speed up metabolism and will help to boost energy within the body. We also offer a vitamin B-complex shot, with all the B vitamins necessary for metabolism and energy.

Vitamin D is an excellent supplement for boosting energy in the winter months, as lack of sunlight can drastically reduce our absorption of this vitamin. A deficiency in vitamin D leads to bone problems such as rickets in children and in adults, osteomalacia, which causes weak bones, bone pain and muscle weakness.

IV drips/infusions by ‘Intravita’ at The London Cosmetic Clinic

What are IV drips?

IV and nutrition drips are the latest intravenous infusions which help to restore your body’s energy levels using pure vitamins, minerals and amino acids. These are delivered directly into your bloodstream, for maximum absorption, unlike oral vitamin supplements which are hindered by the gastrointestinal tract. 100% of the key nutrients are delivered into your body with an IV drip, and as a result, you will notice a faster improvement and better results than oral supplements alone.

At The London Cosmetic Clinic, we offer the following IV drips for improved energy and vitality:-

Wellness drip – an IV infusion of pure vitamins and amino acids along with minerals and antioxidants. This all-round cocktail helps improve your wellbeing, increases energy levels and helps to regulate metabolism and overall digestive health.

Immune booster – if you are generally feeling under the weather, this treatment will be your first line of defence. This supportive IV drip helps to boost your immune system and helps your body heal after a viral or bacterial infection.

NADH+ drip – this powerful NADH+ elixir will help to give you a serious boost of energy, both physically and mentally. Superb for those who suffer from lack of sleep, jet lag and lack of concentration. It’s also perfect for improving athletic performance and memory. It’s anti-ageing, and if you’ve been burning the candle at both ends, will help the liver recover from the negative effects of alcohol consumption.

Jet lag drip – perfect for the jet setting traveller. This high-octane energy boost is ideal for those on the go, who need a ‘pick-me-up’. This drip will boost your physical performance, improve mental clarity, reduce recovery time from those long flights and gruelling journeys and can even help those who have poor sleep patterns. The jet lag drip will not only help to boost your energy but also offers a calming, soothing effect for your health and wellbeing.

Energiser drip – If you want to maximise your energy levels for that ultimate power surge, this potent infusion will help you to recover from burnt our stress, physical exhaustion and improve mental clarity. It will also help you recover from jet lag, lack of sleep and has a calming and soothing effect on the nervous system.

Amino muscle drip – perfect for bodybuilders, athletes and those who have a highly-active lifestyle. Packed with amino acids, this drip is for those who are serious about maxing out their physical and mental performance.

Fitness drip – feeling lacklustre? Get back your mojo with this performance-boosting infusion, packed with energy-boosting vitamins and amino acids. The fitness drip is the ideal choice for those wishing to improve their mental clarity, detoxify their body and improve their athletic performance.

Before any vitamin shot or IV drip can be administered, here at The London Cosmetic Clinic, we will conduct an initial consultation, so that our specialise doctor can help you select the treatment that will be most appropriate for your needs. A course of treatment is always recommended for optimum results, and a maintenance plan will be created, to ensure that you look and feel your best at all times. It’s important to take into consideration that a vitamin shot or IV drip is not a substitute for a healthy diet and exercise plan and should be used as part of a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle.

Who is not suitable for vitamin shots and IV drips?

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding (unless you have expressed enough milk for 12 hours feeding)
  • Thiamine allergy or deficiency
  • Uncontrolled diabetes
  • Chronic kidney failure
  • Chronic liver disease
  • Epilepsy

  • Hyperparathyroidism (for IV calcium and IV vitamin D)
  • Antipsychotic drugs
  • History of stroke
  • Radiotherapy or chemotherapy (unless oncologist approval is obtained)

Do I need a blood test prior to a vitamin shot or IV drip?
Having a blood test, in order to check your general health is always advisable and beneficial. However, it is possible to have a treatment, if you are known and have been checked and your blood tested with a healthy result, beforehand. This will be discussed at your pre-treatment consultation.

Vitamin shots and IV drips can drastically improve our energy levels and sense of wellbeing, at times when we need a pick-me-up or when we simply feel that we are not ‘firing on all cylinders’. At The London Cosmetic Clinic, our team of doctors will ensure that you receive the most appropriate treatment for your concern, in a clinically-regulated and professional environment, for superb results and your optimum safety.
