Even when we take care of our faces and bodies our hands can still show the signs of premature aging and appear much younger than you are. At the London Cosmetic Clinic we can make your
hands look youthful again with the use of high quality dermal fillers.

There are two main fillers that we use on the hands and they both have different effects. The first is Juvederm which is based on syntheticallycreated, biocompatible Hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic
acid is a compound that is naturally found in the skin and attracts water so, when used on the skin, it makes it more moisturised and regain its bounce. This can help improve the appearance of
crepey looking skin on the backs of the hands. The other dermal filler used is Radiesse, which contains tiny beads of calcium hydroxylapatite in a gel. This is injected as a ball and then massaged into

the grooves of your hands to provide a ‘scaffolding’ in boney, sinewy hands that have lost their fat padding. This also encourages the skin to produce more collagen so the condition of the skin is                                                 improved. The effects last up to 2 years.

Prior to your treatment we will numb the area to minimise any discomfort and afterwards you will not have to take any down time to recover but we do recommend that you keep the area clean
with plain water and avoid products like perfumed soap and hand cream to avoid irritation. You should also avoid vitamin E, arnica, St.John’s wort and aspirin and ibuprofen to avoid swelling. If
you would like younger looking hands and are considering Juvederm or Radiesse treatments, contact us today to book your free consultation.

We all need sunshine for Vitamin D that keeps our bones and immune system healthy and for a mood boost but too much UV exposure can damage the skin and cause premature aging. We can reverse some of these signs of skin aging such as freckles, age spots and loss of elasticity with ntense Pulsed Light treatment.

Intense Pulsed Light treatment, or IPL for short, works in several ways to reverse the signs of aging-

-The light impulses create a heat reaction in melanin in the skin so excess amounts are broken down and passed through the system. This helps to fade age spots and freckles.

-Broken capillaries are cauterised so less blood flows to thread veins and red patches. This, over time, fades them so the complexion is more even.

-It kickstarts the skin’s natural healing process so more collagen is produced and the overall condition of the skin is improved.

We use the most precise and powerful IPL system available and the treatment is non-invasive and doesn’t require stitches, scalpels or recovery time. We advise that you avoid too much UV exposure for a month or two prior to treatment as the system works better on fairer skin and when there’s more of a colour contrast between the skin and any imperfections. This will also help minimise further damage and we advise that you use an SPF of at least 30 afterwards. Pain sensation will vary from person to person but many compare it to being flicked by an elastic band and your skin may feel slightly red and burned afterwards.

IPL treatment is an effective and safe way of rejuvenating your skin. If you would like to know more about this or any of our other rejuvenation treatments, contact us today to speak to a member of our team.

When one mentions micropigmentation you may automatically think of semi-permanent lipliner and eyebrow tattoos but it can also be used on a more medical level to help restore looks and revive confidence after surgery or scarring.

At the London Cosmetic Clinic we pride ourselves on our ability to create natural-looking results and treat every patient with care and sensitivity. Our medical micropigmentation can be used to camouflage scarring and vitiligo patches providing the scar is at least a year old and we carefully match the pigments use to your skin colour for a natural, seamless effect. Some scarring can stop facial hair from growing, for example scars running across eyebrows or, for men, around the chin and upper lip so we use a hair simulation technique to mimic missing follicles and make the area look flawless.

Another type of medical micropigmentation we provide is areola tattooing for those who have undergone surgeries such as mastectomies. This procedure can be a very emotional one so we treat all of our patients with care and sensitivity. We create a 3D effect to restore damaged or lost areolas and nipples so you can regain your confidence and sense of self.

Depending on the size, area and type of micropigmentation you may require more than one session. At your consultation we will discuss how many sessions you will need for your desired results.
